Alex Genest (born June 30, 1986, Shawinigan, Québec) is a Canadian middle- and long-distance runner. He qualified for the 2012 London Olympics in the 3000 metre steeplechase with an A standard and a first-place finish at the 2012 Canadian Olympics field & Track in Calgary.〔(2012 Canadian Track and Field Championships, Official Results )〕

Genest was born on June 30, 1986, in Shawinigan, Quebec.
Genest and partner Marie-Christine had a son on July 1, 2011, named Arnaud, just three weeks prior to Genest running a time that would qualify him for the 2011 World Championships in Athletics.
